HMS Endeavour was launched in 1764 as the merchant collier Earl of Pembroke and bought in 1768 by the Royal Navy to be a british royal navy research vessel.

• In 1988, to commemorate the australian Bicentenary, they remade a Replica of Endeavour, the contruction finished in 1994 and Endeavour visited various european ports before to be exhibited to the Australian National Maritime Museum.
