• LAPEROUSE chose this frigate (eg Ostrich) to Rochefort for its 450 barrels and was armed to BREST. the ship carried differents kinds of goods as animals, food, trees and shrubs, portable greenhouses in order to make business with the indigenous. Lapéroure chose his friend Fleuriot de Langle as commandant of the ship.
• The ASTROLABE sunk in 1788 Vanikoro closed to LA BOUSSOLE.
